Jack Sala - Landscape Photographer and CAD Design Consultant

Growing up in the Coeur d’ Alene Mining District of northern Idaho, Jack spent much of his early life exploring the area’s mountains and rivers, influenced mainly by his father, an avid outdoorsman. Working winters at ski areas and summers for a geology company while attending school provided more outdoor contact which evolved over time into a love of the outdoors in all its forms. Moving to the Reno area in late 1979 introduced Jack to the Nevada deserts and a new way of seeing things. Involved in manufacturing management and engineering design for the last 20 years, weekends became the outlet to explore the outlaying areas. Jack's time is now divided between his Mechanical CAD Design/Engineering consulting service and photography of the great outdoors.

"The images closest to the photographer’s heart are those taken in the solitude one experiences off the traveled road, in less than ideal weather."
Susan Mansur - TableMaker of Tavola Bella! Mosaic Tiled Tables Susan has experienced living in all corners of the country. Born in the Dallas area, living in New York City, Florida, Boston, Colorado Springs, Portland Oregon, Truckee California and for the last dozen years in Reno, has given her a sense of the diversity of people and places. Her love of photography has blossomed on the heels of recent introductions to the deserts and botanical areas of the west. Susan’s photographic talents and love of the field are evident in her images and anyone with a good appreciation of nature’s beauty will see that in them.

Susan is also the creator of all the beautiful tiled products shown on our web site.

Thru his fathers eyes

A man spends his life
Dreaming of a time when he can retire
And travel to all those places
In magazines he read
While he was getting older and slower
Neck bent from labor
Building his piece of the world
Raising children, paying bills.

Now free at last is too tired to dream
Of all the wonderful places
He once wished he had seen
His life is ended, too soon it seems

The son gets his own chance
to see the places his father talked about
when he was growing up

And so he goes into the world
carefully at first
always asking, under his breath
if his father can see
thru his eyes.
